Citizens' Alliance for Smart Expansion

THE OUTER LOOP TOLL ROAD
WHAT I CAN  DO TO HELP….

1.Write, e-mail, call, and visit with your elected officials.   Although some may forget it from time to time, at the end of the day, you, the VOTER, are the BOSS.  Ask them to represent you and if you do not live within the City of New Braunfels, ask your County Commissioner and your State Representatives to represent you also by speaking with the Mayor and City Council members.    Make it clear you are not against growth, but that alternatives to the loop should be considered for a long-term sustainable plan. (not too much to ask!)

2.Attend City Council and Commissioners Court Meetings:
The New Braunfels City Council meets  the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at the City Council chambers at 6:00pm
at 424 S. Castell Ave., NB, Tx 78130
The Comal County Commissioners meet every Thursday at 8:15am at  199 Main Plaza, NB, Tx 78130

3.Contact the media!  Call and send emails to television  news programs,  newspapers and radio stations. Write a letter to the editor of your favorite newspaper. (Click here to submit letter to Herald-Zeitung)

4.   Support environmental and smart growth groups.
Citizens’ Alliance for Smart Expansion meets each Third Thursday night at 6:00pm at Faith United Church (corner of Loop 337 and Common St.).   Sign-up to be on our mailing list to receive news items and action alerts.   Also, see www.save-river-road.net

5.   TALK! – to your friends, your church family, your neighbors, your co-workers, tourists, the total stranger in the checkout line and ask them to get involved.  Inform them of the impacts this will have on our water quality, rivers, springs, noise levels, night skies, air quality and our overall quality of life!
